Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery

Established at the hospital's founding, our department is dedicated to delivering international-standard clinical care for hepatobiliary, pancreatic and splenic diseases.

Our Team

We have a well-structured team of 9 medical professionals, including 1 professor, 3 associate professors and 5 attending physicians. All hold advanced degrees (1 PhD, 8 Masters), with integrated expertise in clinical practice, research and medical education.

Clinical Excellence

Equipped with state-of-the-art laparoscopic and endoscopic systems, we provide comprehensive care for common and complex hepatobiliary-pancreatic-splenic diseases, as well as retroperitoneal tumors. Our key expertise includes:

High-difficulty open surgeries: Precision hepatectomy, radical hilar cholangiocarcinoma resection, pancreaticoduodenectomy

Advanced minimally invasive procedures: Laparoscopic hepatectomy, RAMPS, spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy, TLPD

"Double E Techniques": ERCP and EUS for targeted biliary-pancreatic interventions

Research & Academic Impact

Over the past 6 years, we have led 6 research grants (including 2 NSFC awards), published over 30 peer-reviewed papers (20+ SCI-indexed), and co-authored 9 international expert consensus statements and clinical guidelines.
