Paediatric Hematology & Oncology
Thedivision of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology is headed by Professor Godfrey Chi-Fung Chan, the director of the Pediatric Department. The latest international concepts and protocols are introduced through Hong Kong Children’s Hospital. The multidisciplinary anti-tumor services include chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, targeted and immunotherapy and other advanced technology services. There are 2,000 hospitalized patients every year. Patients came from different parts of China and even overseas including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhejiang, Singapore, etc.. The team offer treatment to a diverse types of pediatric malignancies and blood diseases. In addition we are a major referral centres for relapsed and refractory neuroblastoma and brain tumors (medulloblastoma, low-grade glioma, etc.). In addition, palliative treatment is part of our core services that can help to relieve patients’ symptoms and to improve their quality of life.
