High-risk infant Follow-up Clinic:
The high-risk infant follow-up clinic follows all neonates who were born in our hospital with medical complexity in the perinatal period including but not limited to prematurity, neonatal asphyxia, neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), kernictercus, rickets, and post-operation, etc. The multidisciplinary assessment and care (MDAC) clinic which is supported by SZ Sanming project that focus on following those neonates at risk for cerebral palsy (CP) including preterm infants born at <29 weeks gestation and HIE newborns with cooling therapy. The multidisciplinary team consisted of neonatologists; nursing specialists; and physical, occupational, and speech therapists. We aim to supply the best health care and implement an earlier assessment and diagnosis of CP and early intervention to prevent complications.
