About our Pediatric Respiratory Department

The Pediatric Respiratory Department of HKU-SZH, including the Pulmonology and Allergy and Immunology, is a strong medical team with extensive clinical experience.  The current projects are as follows:

●Chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic cough, recurrent wheezing, atelectasis, bronchiectasis, airway malformation, severe pneumonia, hemoptysis and other complicated respiratory diseases;

●Personalised and formalised diagnosis, treatment and fine management of asthma;

●Dust mite allergen by skin prick test，immunotherapy (desensitization treatment of dust mites);

●Specific immunotherapy with Dupriuzumab to moderate to severe atopic dermatitis;

●Respiratory interventional therapy, respiratory mechanics monitoring and research in epidemiology of infectious molecules.

We elucidate current expert opinion and experience in evolving controversial areas of clinical management of pulmonary, allergy and immunologic disease of childhood.
