Gynecological Oncology Clinic
The Gynecologic Oncology team is led by well-known gynecological oncologist Professor Hextan, Yuen Sheung Ngan who provides evidence-based care for women with gynecological cancer. Collaborating with other departments and experts including the Department of Clinical Oncology, Department of Pathology, Department of Radiology and Department of Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital and the HKU-Shenzhen Hospital, we run the service in a multi-disciplinary approach. Cases of gynecological cancer are discussed in periodic MDT meetings for best management. We have good experience in managing fertility preservation in young cancer patients collaborating with colleagues from reproduction medicine. We perform different kinds of cancer surgery by abdominal, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted approaches and provide HIPEC for selective cases.
Together with clinical oncologists, we run a combined clinic and provide genetic counselling and radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and endocrine therapy, as need arises.
Urogynaecology Clinic
We adopt the most advanced and precise surgical repair concept, and provide personalized, minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of uterine prolapse, bladder prolapse, rectal prolapse, postpartum vaginal relaxation, and urinary incontinence. We conduct laparoscopic iliopectineal ligament suspension, sacral spine ligament suspension, pelvic floor repair, vaginal tightening surgery, vaginal closure surgery and urethral suspension procedure, achieving good effect.
In recent years, we have jointly developed a female sexual dysfunction clinic with Queen Mary Hospital of the University of Hong Kong, providing comprehensive therapy such as female sexual function assessment, psychological examination and treatment, behavioral and drug therapy, vaginal dilation and vaginal tightening surgery. We are committed to improving and promoting the harmonious relationship between couples.
Gynecology Clinic
The Gynecology Team of the HKU-Shenzhen Hospital follows international guidelines and national expert consensus to diagnose and treat common female diseases, and recurring and intractable diseases. We have extensive experience in managing uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, endocrine disease, perimenopausal condition, subfertility, lower genital tract disease and genital tract inflammation. Our advanced diagnostic and treatment concept enables formulation of reasonable and personalized treatment plans for patients. Gynecological day surgery and medical termination of pregnancy can be booked at the outpatient clinic.
At present, various gynecological operations such as transabdominal surgery, transvaginal surgery, da Vinci robotic surgery, traditional laparoscopy and single-port laparoscopic surgery have been carried out, and many difficult and multidisciplinary operations have also been performed.
Cervical Diseases Clinic
Cervical cancer is a preventable and treatable disease with improved screening. HPV vaccine, cervical cancer screening, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia treatment is a trilogy of prevention and control of cervical cancer.
Cervical disease specialists can provide the whole process of cervical cancer screening, consultation, treatment and follow-up services, including cytology and HPV screening tests, high-definition colposcopy, and other advanced testing. Cervical disease sub-specialty team adopts advanced technology, strictly following international guidelines, to protect the health of women.
Endometriosis Clinic
Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease. Its symptoms include dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, menstrual disorders, and infertility. The patients required long term follow up to control the recurrence of the disease.
Endometriosis specialist clinic can provide professional diagnosis and personalized treatment plans with long term management in accordance with international guidelines. Both surgical and conservative treatment aim to help patients to reduce pain, control symptom, manage infertility, and improve quality of life.
Our multidisciplinary treatment team consists of specialists from surgery, imaging and ultrasound experts. Over the years, we have performed many difficult operations for complex endometriosis involving ureter, bladder and rectum.
Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Clinic
Pregnancy and childbirth can cause pelvic floor muscle damage, resulting in pelvic floor dysfunction. Through pelvic floor rehabilitation treatment, these diseases can beeffectively prevented. Adhering to the purpose of "patient-centered", our center actively carries out standardized treatment in accordance with international advanced concepts, with a total effective rate of 95%. Service objects include:
