In 2017, the Hospital was authorized as one of the medical teaching schools in Guangdong. It has signed agreements with Peking University, Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, Southern Medical University, Kunming Medical University and Shenzhen University on internship education, and has received over 550 medical, nursing, allied health and pharmacy trainees.

In September 2019, the Hospital, Jinan University and Shenzhen University launched the Joint Training Project for Medical Graduate Students, and 89 trainees were qualified as master's and doctoral supervisors. 83 doctors and 86 nurses had been accepted for the part-time postgraduate programs in clinical medicine and nursing at Jinan University. As of December August 2021, there were 74 full-time postgraduates in Shenzhen University.
