Staff training

The Hospital has established a training and evaluation system, which is composed of the first echelon (leaders), the second echelon (core staff) and the third echelon (junior staff). In the past five years, the attendance of training outside the Hospital has reached 13,536, with 2,701 sent to HK and Macao, and 143 sent abroad. 13,193 were short-term training programs, and 343 were long-term training programs (over one month).

Collaboration with healthcare institutions

HKU-SZH has also signed cooperation agreements with universities or organizations.

(1) A cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong Hospital Authority on visits, communication and training programs;

(2) Collaboration with Hong Kong Sanatorium Hospital (HKSH) to offer training for nurses;

(3) Collaboration with Hong Kong Tung Wah College on radiotherapy;

(4) Collaboration with Hong Kong Polytechnic University on rehabilitation treatment.
