Pediatric Hematology & Oncology:

The specialty of pediatric hematology and oncology is headed by Professor Godfrey Chi-Fung Chan, the director of the Pediatrics Department. The latest international concepts and protocols are introduced through Hong Kong Children’s Hospital. The multidisciplinary anti-tumor services include chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, targeted and immunotherapy and other advanced technology services. There are 2,000 hospitalized patients every year. Patients came from different parts of China and even other countries, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhejiang, Singapore, etc. The team offers treatment to diverse types of pediatric malignancies and blood diseases. In addition we are a major referral center for relapsed and refractory neuroblastoma and brain tumors (medulloblastoma, low-grade glioma, etc.). In addition, palliative treatment is part of our core services that can help to relieve patients’ symptoms and to improve their quality of life.

Team members: eight doctors engaged in specialized clinical work for more than five years in total, including associate consultant doctors, senior doctors and resident doctors.
