High-risk infant Follow-up Clinic:

The High-Risk Infant Follow-up clinic follows all neonates who were born in our Hospital with medical complexity in the perinatal period including but not limited to prematurity, neonatal asphyxia, neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), kernictercus, rickets, and post-operation, etc. The multidisciplinary assessment and care (MDAC) clinic, supported by the Sanming project, focuses on following those neonates at risk of cerebral palsy (CP), including preterm infants born within 29 weeks after conception and HIE newborns receiving cooling therapy. The multidisciplinary team consists of neonatologists, nursing specialists, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists. We aim to supply the best health care and implement earlier assessment and diagnosis of CP and early intervention to prevent complications.
