Service features
Further to diabetic patients, non-diabetic patients make up a significant 20-30% share of the inpatients. There is a high proportion of rare endocrine diseases. The Division has wide experience in the management of various endocrine and metabolic diseases. There is a full set of sub-specialty clinics. They cover pituitary diseases, obesity, osteoporosis and adrenal hypertension and these clinics are available in the afternoon. There is a plan to develop a special clinic for gonadal diseases.
The Division is the first to carry out bilateral inferior petrosal sinus sampling (BIPSS) in Shenzhen, and the success rate has reached 100%. It is also the first to carry out adrenal venous sampling (AVS) in Shenzhen, with a good success rate of 70% so far.
