Geriatric Assessment Clinic

The Department of Family Medicine is one of the earliest departments established by the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital. Under the scientific management and training of the Family Medicine and Primary Care Department of the University of Hong Kong, the Department acts on the philosophy of "people-centered practice" and "whole-person care". It has become the "gatekeeper" of residents' health. To meet the needs of elderly patients, the Hospital established the Geriatric Assessment Clinic within the Department of Family Medicine, staffed by experienced general practitioners.

The Clinic mainly serves senior citizens over 60 years old. It offers diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases, identification and referral of acute diseases, comprehensive assessment of elderly patients, etc. It develops personalized medical treatment plans to prevent and treat geriatric diseases. The Clinic also combines rehabilitation, pharmacy, nutrition and other disciplines to provide multidisciplinary solutions to improve the life quality of senior citizens.
